The House of Aaron The House of Aaron is a ministry in the Body of the Messiah. We lift up Jesus Christ/Yeshua as the Messiah, the only name under heaven by which man must be saved. We acknowledge the triune God of the Bible: God, the Father; Yeshua/Jesus, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Our mission is: to prepare the Body of Messiah for His Second Coming, to restore the Biblical, Levitical ministry to its prophesied fullness in Messiah, and reconcile individuals, families, and fellowships to their places in the Body. According to the Torah, Israel's priests were to minister to the Lord and to represent the people before God. Jesus' atoning sacrifice on the Cross, opening the way for personal relationship between man and God, eliminated the need for animal sacrifices. The Bible, however, is replete with everlasting promises relating to the Levitical priesthood. The Bible also promises that all things of God will be restored before our Messiah's Second Coming. The reorganization of the Levitical ministry today, in a Messianic context, is part of that restoration. The priests and Levites were the temple musicians and taught the people to discern between the holy and the profane; they served as Israel's judges. Many of these functions, though modified because of the Cross, remain as key elements of the Levitical model in Israel's Regathering and Restoration. The Church disowned its Jewish roots early and distanced itself from the Jewish people. Yeshua, though, came to fulfill the Old Covenant promises, not to repudiate them. He wore the prayer shawl (Tallit), attended the synagogue, celebrated the Feasts of the Lord, taught from the Torah, and in all respects was an observant Jew. Only where the traditions of men conflicted with His Father's will did He diverge from the customary practices and observances. The Apostles, including Paul, continued to worship in the Temple. The Bible is filled with glorious promises to Israel, including many yet to be fulfilled. The olive tree, with grafted Jewish and Gentile branches, must be nurtured to full health and fruit-fullness. Needed reconciliation in the Body Reconciliation in the Body is needed in several areas. It begins with those who do not know Yeshua. We, like all believers, must bring the Word of God to people and introduce them to the Messiah. The Body of Believers is also in need of reconciliation. Divisions between denominations, races, generations, and cultures fracture the Body and weaken its witness in the world. Additionally, families must be strengthened and nurtured as building blocks in the Body. Denominational reconciliation in the Body is vital. Too often churches apply doctrinal litmus tests to determine who are the true believers. The Bible promises that the Bride – the Body of the Messiah – will receive her Lord in an unblemished state of unity and love. We rejoice in the Body's diversity and scope and part of our ministry within the Body is to increase the awareness of our common bond in the Messiah resulting in a stronger unity of our faith. In the spirit of Elijah the prophet, we sense the ever greater need to reconcile parents to their children, children to their parents, and parents to each other. The breakup of the family continues to plague society and damage countless lives. Other House of Aaron beliefs and practices are distinctive expressions of our Levitical ministry. We worship on the Biblical Sabbath, the Seventh Day. One of our congregations is a community based on the all things common pattern in Acts Chapters 2 and 4. Commandments and promises that God decreed as everlasting, eternal, forever, or throughout all generations are binding today, though modified by Jesus' atonement on the Cross. We look forward to the soon return of our Lord Yeshua, our Messiah – Maranatha!
